Why Not?

We have seen an increase in family members who have registered and started to add to our database. This participation is very good for all of us in the family. We have had this website online for nearly 10 years now. Most of the family information presented here is possible because of the research by Leroy E. Haas. Additional information has been supplied by Nancy Rothrock, Kevin Gregg, Vernon Shore, Mary Rector, Drema Finn, Ray Haas and others. Now we can have many more people working on the family history.

In the early days, we had to compile the data, convert it to "html" files and then upload it to a server to have it online. We are now using a much improved method to handle our data. "The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding" software by Darrin Lythgoe has given us the ability to allow all our family members to add to or edit the information in the database. These changes are instantly viewable. If you don't want to do the editing yourself, you can "suggest" the changes to us and we will do the editing.

To be able to do this, you must register on the site as a family member. In the 'notes' section of the form, let us know where you fit into the family. You MUST be a member of the families in our database to become a registered user. Tell us if you want to be able to add, edit or suggest changes. You will receive an email shortly telling you you are setup.

As a Bonus for registering, we can now offer you an email address on our web server. You can have an email account here with an address like 'youname@thf.net'. You can then access the account from the 'Webmail' link on the website and/or with your email client on you local computer. This account will be available to you as long as Thf.Net is online. We hope it is online for another 10 years or more. The real beauty of this email account is that no matter how many times you change internet providers, your email address stays the same. This email address is FREE!

As a registered user, you will also be able to see all the hidden features of the website. All information on 'Living' family is hidden from un-registered visitors. Other features for 'Family Only' will be added in the future.
